Lisbon’s main cruise terminal is one of the best placed in Europe. The Lisbon Cruise Terminal sits on the Tagus riverfront at Jardim do Tabaco, between the Santa Apolónia train station and the foot of Alfama. You can walk from the gangway to fado bars, the cathedral and Praça do Comércio. This guide covers the hotels within walking distance, value options and how to get there from the airport in 2026 and 2027.
Quick answer: For the shortest walk to the ship, stay at The Editory Riverside Santa Apolónia, about an 8-minute walk away, or at Memmo Alfama and Santiago de Alfama just uphill. For lower rates, Hotel Riverside Alfama, Home Lisbon Hostel and My Story Hotel Tejo are all within roughly 10–20 minutes on foot. From the airport, take the metro (Red Line, then Blue Line to Santa Apolónia) or a taxi of about 15–25 minutes. The Aerobus no longer runs.

Where is the Lisbon cruise port?
The official address is Terminal de Cruzeiros de Lisboa, Doca Jardim do Tabaco, Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, 1100-651 Lisboa. Most turnaround and big-ship calls use this terminal, on the quays between Jardim do Tabaco and Santa Apolónia. Some smaller ships, or overflow days, use the Alcântara / Rocha Conde de Óbidos quays about 3 km west, near the 25 de Abril Bridge. Check your cruise documents for the exact terminal before you book a hotel.

Getting there, shuttles & parking
- Metro from the airport: Take the Red Line from Aeroporto to São Sebastião, then the Blue Line to its terminus, Santa Apolónia. From there it’s about a 5–8 minute walk to the terminal. Allow 40–50 minutes in total. Metro Lisboa lists a single journey at about €1.90 (less with zapping credit) plus €0.50 for the reusable navegante card. Trains run roughly 06:30–01:00.
- Taxi or ride-hail: The airport is about 8 km away. A taxi takes about 15–25 minutes and costs roughly €15–25 on the meter, with higher night rates. Uber and Bolt are often a little cheaper and use a separate pickup zone. The terminal has a taxi and Uber station for departures.
- Aerobus: The dedicated Aerobus airport shuttle has been discontinued, so ignore older guides that recommend it.
- Parking & luggage: On-site parking is run by Telpark and can be booked online. Baggage drop usually opens from about 09:00, and lockers can be booked through Bounce.

Tips for a Lisbon cruise stay
- Alfama hotels are close but uphill on cobbles. If you have heavy bags, pick Santa Apolónia or the riverfront, or take a taxi for the last stretch.
- Arrive the day before embarkation. Flights into Lisbon can be delayed, and the city rewards an extra night.
- Check whether your ship uses Jardim do Tabaco or Alcântara. They’re about 3 km apart.
- Tram 28 and the Alfama viewpoints are a short walk from the terminal, which makes them easy to visit on a port day.
- Agree the price before you ride in a tuk-tuk, because fares are not fixed.
