The 127th U.S. Open comes to Pebble Beach Golf Links in June 2027. It will be the seventh U.S. Open on this stretch of the Monterey Peninsula, the most of any course since 1972. Championship week runs June 14–20, 2027, per Pebble Beach Resorts. The four championship rounds are Thursday to Sunday, June 17–20, with practice days earlier in the week. Getting there, shuttles & parking
Airports
Per Pebble Beach Resorts, Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is about 15 minutes away by car. San Jose (SJC) is about 1 to 1.5 hours, and San Francisco (SFO) about 2 to 2.5 hours, both via Highway 156 and Highway 1 south. SJC and SFO have far more flights and often cheaper fares, so many visitors fly there and rent a car.
Parking & shuttles
As of October 2026, the USGA has not published the general spectator parking and shuttle plan for 2027. The Lodge Premier and 1895 Club packages include parking inside Del Monte Forest with a shuttle, per Pebble Beach Resorts. For reference, at the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, spectators parked for free at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) in Marina and rode free shuttles to the course, taking about 30–35 minutes each way. Other parking in Del Monte Forest was by permit only. Expect a similar setup, but check usopen.com closer to the event.
Ride-share & traffic
In 2019 there was a ride-share drop-off near Gate 1, and organizers advised avoiding peak hours of 7–11 a.m. and 3:30–7:30 p.m. Expect heavy traffic on Highway 1 and Highway 68 during championship week, so leave early.
Tips for booking the U.S. Open 2027
- Book a refundable room now. Peninsula hotels are limited, and June is peak season even without a major.
- Check for minimum-night stays and stricter cancellation terms during championship week.
- If you fly into SJC or SFO, add the drive time to your arrival day and avoid rush hour.
- Practice days (Monday to Wednesday) are less crowded and great for photos and autographs.
- Pack layers. Mornings on the peninsula are often cool and foggy, even in June.
- Plan a non-golf day: Cannery Row, Carmel village and Point Lobos are all close.
