The Ryder Cup comes to Ireland in September 2027, at Adare Manor in County Limerick. It is the first time since 2006 that the event has been played in Ireland. Quick answer: Adare village is ideal but nearly impossible to book. Limerick city is the most practical base, with shuttle buses from Colbert station. Ennis, Shannon and even Killarney work if you use the official trains and shuttles. Book anything refundable you can find now.

The Ryder Cup runs September 13–19, 2027, per rydercup.com. Monday to Thursday, September 13–16, are build-up days. The matches between Europe and the United States are Friday to Sunday, September 17–19.
General admission tickets sold out through the ballot, the Ryder Cup announced on July 31, 2026, with demand more than 12 times supply. Because rooms are so tight, the official travel provider offers other options. Ballot winners can book the official Ryder Cup campsite, which has its own entrance to Adare Manor. Ryder Cup Travel Services is also selling cabins on the Oceania Marina cruise ship, docked at Shannon Foynes Port about 30 km away, with daily transfers to the course. Some locals are also renting homes for the week.
Getting there, shuttles & parking
By train
Per the official Ryder Cup and Transport for Ireland pages as of October 2026, a dedicated shuttle train will run from Limerick Junction to a temporary Adare Manor station, followed by a short walk to the gates. The shuttle train takes about 45 minutes. Limerick Junction has direct trains from Dublin Heuston (about 1h30), Cork Kent (about 55 minutes), Killarney (about 1h30) and Waterford (about 1h45). This is generally the fastest way in from Dublin or Cork.
From Limerick Colbert station, shuttle buses run to the Ryder Cup bus terminal in about 35–40 minutes. Fans coming from Galway take the train to Colbert, about two hours.
Park & ride
There is no parking at Adare Manor. Several paid park & ride sites around Adare will run shuttle buses, taking 10–20 minutes from the West Area and 20–30 minutes from the East Area. Pre-booking will be available. Prices had not been published as of October 2026; details go to ticket holders.
Airports
Shannon is the closest airport, about 25 minutes from Adare Manor. Dublin, Cork and Kerry airports also serve the event. From Dublin, driving to the park & ride area takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, so the train is often easier.
Tips for booking the Ryder Cup 2027
- Book a refundable room as soon as you see one. Limerick’s mayor has said no new hotels will open in time.
- Choose a base on the rail network. Limerick, Ennis and Killarney all connect to the official shuttles.
- Check for minimum stays, deposits and cancellation terms before you book.
- Don’t drive to Adare without a park & ride booking. There is no on-site parking.
- Pack rain gear and layers. Irish September weather changes quickly.
