Galveston Hotels With a Cruise Shuttle (2026): Fees & Park-and-Cruise

Last updated: October 24, 2026 · By Ronen, Stay Near The Venue

Galveston has more cruise-friendly hotels than almost any US port, but “cruise shuttle” means different things at different hotels. Some include it free, some charge per person, some only take guests who also park with them, and some hand you a taxi number. This guide covers Galveston hotels with a shuttle to the cruise terminals and the park-and-cruise packages that let you leave your car at the hotel. We list fees only where we could check them in 2025–2026. For every area and price level, see our main guide to hotels near the Galveston cruise port.

Quick answer: For the shortest ride, the Harbor House at Pier 21 and The Tremont House are both within about half a mile of the terminals. Each charges $15 per person for its shuttle, and Harbor House’s is free if you also park there. For a beach resort, the Hilton Galveston Island Resort and The San Luis run paid shuttles and offer cruise parking for about $100 a week. Avenue O Bed & Breakfast includes free cruise transfers.

Getting there, shuttles & parking

Per the Port of Galveston, Carnival uses Terminals 25 and 28, Royal Caribbean uses Terminal 10, and Norwegian uses Terminal 16. Other lines also sail from the port, including Disney, MSC and Princess. Tell your hotel which terminal you need before the shuttle leaves. Official port parking is priced by cruise length and lot type, and the port says prepaying online usually costs less than paying at the gate. In March 2026, pre-booked uncovered lots started at about $205 for a 7-night cruise and the covered garage was close to $275. A hotel parking package at $100–$110 a week can save a lot. For more lot-by-lot detail, see our Galveston cruise parking guide.

Flying in? Hobby Airport (HOU) is the closer airport, about 45 minutes away depending on traffic. Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is more than 70 miles away. Our Houston airport to Galveston cruise port guide compares shuttles, car services and rideshares.

Tips for booking a shuttle hotel

  • Ask whether the shuttle fee is per person or per room, and whether it covers one way or the round trip. Galveston hotels do it differently.
  • Book the shuttle when you book the room, or at least 72 hours ahead where the hotel asks for that. Popular departures fill up.
  • Confirm how many parking days the package covers and whether parking is fenced or attended.
  • Ask how the return pickup works. Some hotels only drop off at the port, and others need a call on disembarkation day.
  • Book a free-cancellation rate in case your sailing changes.

About the author

Parking rates, shuttle fees and transfer times come from the port’s, venue’s or operator’s own published pages and from each hotel’s own site, with the date we checked recorded on the page.
