Universal Orlando’s parking garages charge by the day, and the walk from the garage to the gates takes time. A hotel with a free shuttle can save you both. Many of the best options are Universal Partner Hotels, a group of off-site hotels just outside the resort that run scheduled buses to the parks. This guide covers the ones we could confirm on each hotel’s own website, and flags the one place where the “free” shuttle is really paid for through a resort fee. For a wider look at neighborhoods and on-site hotels, see our main guide on where to stay near Universal Orlando.
Quick answer: For a free Universal shuttle with no resort fee, look at Drury Inn & Suites near Universal Orlando Resort (free parking, hot breakfast and a shuttle that also serves Epic Universe), Courtyard by Marriott across Universal Orlando, or the two Rosen Inns on International Drive. Avanti International Resort also runs Universal shuttles, but they are part of its $18-a-night resort fee.

Staying on site instead
Universal’s own hotels don’t need reservations for transport. According to Universal’s official blog (August 2026), Loews Portofino Bay, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific and Loews Sapphire Falls have a free water taxi and walking paths to CityWalk. Cabana Bay and Aventura have a walking path to Volcano Bay and buses to the other parks. Guests at Helios Grand can walk through the lobby into Epic Universe. Stella Nova and Terra Luna have shuttle buses and a walking path to the Epic Universe entrance. On-site hotel guests also get Early Park Admission. Partner hotel guests get it only when they book a Universal vacation package, per Undercover Tourist (September 2026).
Getting there, shuttles & parking
Partner hotel shuttles run on a schedule, not on demand, and most need a reservation. Rosen Inn International books seats at its Universal Partner Hotel Vacation Planning Center, between 24 hours and 30 minutes before departure. Avanti takes Universal shuttle bookings in person, up to 24 hours ahead. Times change by season, so check the board when you arrive.
If you drive, Universal’s website lists regular self-parking at $35 a day and Prime parking at $50–$60, tax included, as of October 2026. Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk share the garages at 6000 Universal Blvd. Epic Universe has its own parking at 1001 Epic Boulevard. Rideshare and taxi drop-off is free: the North Parking Garage serves the original parks, and 1201 Epic Boulevard serves Epic Universe. Coming from the airport? Tips for using a Universal hotel shuttle
- Book your shuttle seat the day before, especially for the first morning run.
- Ask whether the shuttle goes to Epic Universe as well as CityWalk. Drury and Avanti say theirs do.
- Check the last return time. If you’re staying for fireworks or Halloween Horror Nights, a rideshare home may be easier.
- Compare the total cost: room rate, resort fee and nightly parking.
- Many partner hotels sell Universal tickets and offer discounts at select Universal shops and restaurants. Ask at the partner desk.
