Staying off-site at Walt Disney World can save a lot of money. The catch is getting to the parks: Disney parking costs extra, and rideshares add up over a week. Many nearby hotels run their own buses to the four theme parks, but “free shuttle” can mean very different things. At some hotels the shuttle is genuinely free. At others it’s covered by a nightly resort fee. Some run every hour, while others make only a couple of trips a day. This guide lists off-site hotels whose park shuttle we checked on the hotel’s own website, and notes which ones also get Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry. For every area around the resort, from Lake Buena Vista to Kissimmee, see our main guide on where to stay near Walt Disney World.
Quick answer: The best-value pick is the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando in the Disney Springs Resort Area. It has a free hourly shuttle to all four parks, no resort fee, free hot breakfast and an evening Kickback, and it’s about half a mile from Disney Springs. Holiday Inn Orlando – Disney Springs Area also runs a free, roughly hourly shuttle. Both get 30 minutes of Early Theme Park Entry.

Getting there, shuttles & parking
Early Theme Park Entry: Several non-Disney hotels qualify for Disney’s Early Theme Park Entry. Per Disney’s list as summarised by Disney Food Blog (updated October 2026), they include the Disney Springs Resort Area hotels: DoubleTree Suites, Drury Plaza, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Holiday Inn Orlando, Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa, Wyndham Garden and Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. The Bonnet Creek pair (Signia and Waldorf Astoria) and Four Seasons Resort Orlando also qualify. These guests can enter any theme park 30 minutes early each day with a valid ticket and a Resort ID. Extended Evening Hours remain limited to Disney’s own deluxe hotels plus the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green. Good Neighbor hotels outside this group, such as the Sheraton and Hilton Garden Inn, don’t get early entry.
Reservations and timing: Most of these shuttles need a reservation, often 48–72 hours ahead, and run about once an hour. Many don’t serve water parks, runDisney events or after-hours parties. If you want to be at the gate for opening, book the first bus or plan on a rideshare. Driving is another option: Disney Springs’ garages are free, and the Buena Vista Palace notes that its guests can walk there.
Tips for using an off-site Disney shuttle
- Add the resort fee and parking to the room rate before comparing hotels. A “free” shuttle bundled into a $36–$50 nightly fee isn’t free.
- Book shuttle seats as soon as the booking window opens, especially the first morning bus and the post-fireworks return.
- Ask whether the bus goes straight to each park or via the Transportation and Ticket Center. Changing to the monorail or ferry there adds time to a Magic Kingdom trip.
- Link your hotel confirmation in My Disney Experience to use Early Theme Park Entry where it is offered.
- Make sure your park reservation and ticket match the park you’re riding to.
- Book a free-cancellation rate. That way you can switch hotels if a better deal appears.
