How to Get From Barcelona Airport to the Cruise Port (2026): Taxi, Aerobús & Costs

Last updated: October 19, 2026 · By Ronen, Stay Near The Venue

Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) is roughly 15–20 km from the cruise terminals on the Moll Adossat pier, and most travelers make the trip in about half an hour. Your choices run from a fixed-price taxi to a €3.50 shuttle bus, so it pays to know them before you land. Planning a night in the city first? Start with our main guide to hotels near the Barcelona cruise port.

Quick answer: In 2026 an official Barcelona taxi from the airport to the Moll Adossat cruise terminals costs a fixed €46, all supplements included, and takes about 25–35 minutes. The budget route is the Aerobús (€7.45) to Plaça de Catalunya, then the metro or a walk down La Rambla to the Cruise Bus (€3.50 one way) at the foot of La Rambla. Cruise-line transfers are the simplest choice if you are landing on embarkation day.

Barcelona cruise terminals at a glance

Almost all big ships use the Moll Adossat pier. Terminals A, B and C are run by Creuers del Port de Barcelona. Terminal D is Palacruceros, opened in 2007 for the Carnival Corporation brands. Terminal E is Helix, also part of Palacruceros, which opened in 2018. Terminal H is MSC’s terminal, which took its first passengers in February 2025. Smaller ships use the World Trade Center South terminal (Moll de Barcelona), a few minutes’ walk from La Rambla. The Port of Barcelona says the South terminal will close at the end of 2026 and all calls will move to Adossat. A new Royal Caribbean-operated Terminal G is expected in 2027. Always check the terminal letter on your boarding documents.

Getting there, shuttles & parking

Taxi (fixed fare). Official black-and-yellow taxis wait outside arrivals at T1 and T2. Under the 2026 AMB tariffs (valid 19 January 2026 to 17 January 2027), trips between the airport and the Moll Adossat cruise terminals cost a closed price of €46 in either direction, all supplements included. For any other metered trip, the airport supplement is €4.60, and a separate €4.60 port supplement applies to pickups or drop-offs at the Moll Adossat maritime station. Trips starting at the airport have a €21 minimum. The 2026 day rate is €2.80 flag fall plus €1.35/km, rising to €1.66/km at night and on weekends. For the World Trade Center South terminal or a city hotel, the meter applies.

Aerobús + Cruise Bus (budget). Aerobús A1 (from T1) and A2 (from T2) run 24 hours a day to Plaça de Catalunya. The official fare is €7.45 one way or €12.85 return, and one person’s luggage is included. From Plaça de Catalunya, walk about 20 minutes down La Rambla or ride metro L3 to Drassanes. Then take the Cruise Bus, the port’s shuttle, which links the foot of La Rambla by the World Trade Center and Columbus monument with Adossat Terminals A–E. It costs €3.50 one way or €5 for a day ticket. Total: roughly €11–€14 per person and about an hour.

R2 Nord train. Rodalies line R2 Nord leaves from the station by Terminal 2. If you land at T1, take the free 24-hour inter-terminal shuttle first. The train calls at Barcelona Sants and Passeig de Gràcia, and from either you can take the metro (L3 to Drassanes) toward the port. The train is cheap, but stairs and transfers make it the hardest option with big suitcases.

Cruise-line transfers. Most lines sell coach transfers from BCN to the ship, priced per person in your booking. They are worth it for solo travelers or on tight embarkation-day schedules, because the line knows where your flight lands. For two or more people, the €46 fixed taxi usually costs less.

Parking. Cars may drop off and pick up at the terminals, but you cannot park there. Use the recommended port-area car parks instead.

Tips for a smooth transfer

  • Use only the official taxi rank. Tell the driver your terminal letter (for example “Terminal D, Moll Adossat”) so you get the €46 closed price.
  • Fly in a day early in peak season. Embarkation mornings bring long taxi queues at the port, and Aerobús service can be disrupted by demonstrations or events. Check its service-status page.
  • Keep valuables zipped on the Aerobús, the metro and La Rambla. Pickpockets target travelers with luggage.
  • Cruise Bus tickets bought online are emailed as a PDF and are valid only on the date printed.
  • Leaving from WTC South? It is walkable from Port Vell hotels, but it is scheduled to close at the end of 2026.
