Does Cedars-Sinai have a hotel program for families?
Cedars-Sinai does not run its own guest house. Its International Patients team publishes a hotel list of more than 40 nearby properties, from budget motels to luxury hotels and furnished-apartment providers, with distances from the medical center. The list does not mention negotiated discounts, so ask each hotel directly whether it has a medical or hospital rate.
Inpatients and families can also call Hospitality Services at 310-423-4444 (open 24 hours) for names and numbers of nearby hotels, per the hospital’s Patient and Family Guide. Social workers (310-423-4446) can help with rides home and other resources. A limited number of rollaway cots are available for overnight guests in patient rooms, based on availability.

Getting there, shuttles & parking
Parking on campus
Cedars-Sinai runs several parking structures around the campus, including lots for the South Tower, the Pavilion, the Emergency Department and North Tower, and the Cancer Center. The Medical Office Towers East and West garages are run separately. Self-park and valet are both offered.
Per the hospital’s Patient and Family Guide, inpatients’ families get discounted parking on the first and last day of a stay. Take the parking ticket to the information desk on the Street Level of the South Tower to have it validated. Weekly and two-week passes are sold through the Parking Office, which is in Lot P8 off George Burns Road (310-423-5535). Hourly rates and daily maximums have changed over the years, so call the Parking Office or check the pay stations for current prices as of October 2026.
Bus and subway
Metro Line 14 runs along Beverly Blvd from downtown Los Angeles and ends at San Vicente & Gracie Allen, on the Cedars-Sinai campus, per Metro’s timetable. On weekdays buses run about every 15 minutes midday. The Metro D Line subway extension opened on May 8, 2026, with a new Wilshire/La Cienega station about a mile south of the hospital. A further D Line section to Beverly Hills and Century City is still under construction with no opening date posted.
From LAX
Los Angeles International Airport is roughly 10 miles south of the hospital. Most families take a rideshare or taxi. Drive times vary widely with traffic, so leave plenty of margin before an appointment or check-in.
Tips for patients & families
- Ask every hotel for a medical or hospital rate. Cedars-Sinai lists hotels but does not advertise set discounts.
- Book refundable rates. Surgery dates and discharge days often move.
- For a week or longer, a kitchen saves money and helps with special diets.
- Check hotel parking fees. In this part of Los Angeles they can add up fast, and you may also pay hospital parking.
- Ask for a ground-floor room or elevator access if the patient will use a wheelchair or walker after discharge.
- Visiting hours are generally 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., but some units differ. Check with the nurse before planning your day.
