Driving to your Southampton cruise is often cheaper and easier than the train, especially with a family and big cases, but the parking choice matters. Some car parks sit right next to the terminal, others need a shuttle, and the official options are tied to specific cruise lines. This guide covers official port parking, meet-and-greet valets, independent park-and-ride sites and park-stay-cruise hotels, with prices only where an operator or a named source publishes them. If you’re also booking a room, see our main guide to hotels near Southampton Cruise Terminal.
Quick answer: For the least hassle, use your cruise line’s official partner. AB Parking (run by port owner ABP) serves Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, NCL, Fred. Olsen, Disney and Saga. CPS meet-and-greet serves P&O Cruises, Princess and Cunard. For a lower price, independent valets and park-and-rides were listed from about £15 per day for December 2026 dates. The council’s Eastgate Street multi-storey works out at £39 for seven days, and a park-stay-cruise hotel package can bundle your night, parking and transfer.

Official port and cruise line parking
Per the CLIA listing for ABP, AB Parking is “the official on-port parking provider”. It’s owned and run by Associated British Ports and offers secure parking next to the terminals plus shuttle long-stay parking. Cruise Mummy’s 2026 guide says it serves Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Fred. Olsen, NCL, MSC, Disney and Saga sailings. Cruise and Passenger Services (CPS) runs a park-and-cruise scheme inside the port, per Southampton City Council, and is the meet-and-greet partner for P&O Cruises, Princess and Cunard. P&O says you can book parking from 72 hours after booking your cruise, but no later than 35 days before departure. Neither operator publishes a fixed public rate, and prices change by date and season, so get a quote for your sailing. Some fares include parking.
Independent meet and greet and park and ride
- Portside Meet & Greet – Drop your bags and passengers at the terminal, then hand your keys to a driver under the red flag in the Short Stay car park. The car goes to a secure compound about 8 miles away. It runs 7am–3pm on ship days. Holiday Extras listed it at £15.20 per day for 14–21 December 2026 (price valid as of 14 October 2026).
- Southampton Cruise Parking Services (1st Avenue, Millbrook, SO15 0LJ) – Staff park your car undercover, then a roughly 5-minute shuttle runs to the terminal. Transfers are free for up to four people, then £10 for each extra passenger. Holiday Extras listed it at £15.50 per day for a 13 December 2026 stay.
- Airlynx Cruise Parking (Wharf Road, Woolston, SO19 9TJ) – Drop and go, with a free bus to all terminals in about 5 minutes. Outbound buses run 11:00–15:30. Airparks showed £87.95 for 8 days on 18–25 December 2026, roughly £11 per day.
- Cruise Parking Park and Ride, Wrens Farm (Castle Lane, North Baddesley, SO52 9LY) – A free bus every 30 minutes from noon to 3pm, taking about 20 minutes. Groups of more than five pay £5 per person each way, per Airparks.
Cheapest DIY option: council car parks
Per Southampton City Council’s cruise parking page, three multi-storeys take long-stay cruise parking. Eastgate Street (SO14 3HH) costs £9 for the first 24 hours, then £5 a day, which is £39 for seven days. Bedford Place (SO15 2TZ) and Grosvenor Square (SO15 2BE) cost £11 for the first 24 hours, then £5 a day, which is £41 for seven days. You pay at the machine on return. Eastgate Street is about a two-minute walk from the High Street taxi rank, and you’ll need a taxi to and from the terminal.
Park-stay-cruise hotels with transfers

Getting there, shuttles & parking
Southampton has five cruise terminals (Ocean, City, Mayflower, QEII and Horizon), so check yours before choosing a car park. Many independent shuttles only collect on the return leg between early morning and late morning. Not driving? Our London to Southampton cruise terminal guide covers trains, coaches and taxis.
Tips for booking Southampton cruise parking
- Check your cruise line first. AB Parking and CPS each serve only certain lines.
- Book early for school holidays and Christmas sailings, when per-day prices rise.
- Count your passengers. Several shuttles charge extra above four or five people.
- Check vehicle limits. Some operators charge extra for long-wheelbase vehicles and campervans, or don’t accept trailers.
- The council advises checking terms, insurance and landowner permission before booking private parking.
