Port Canaveral cruise parking is simple once you know the options: the port runs its own garages and lots at every terminal for a flat daily rate, and a handful of off-site lots and park-and-cruise hotels in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach can cut the cost or bundle in a pre-cruise night. If you also need a place to sleep before sailing, see our full guide to hotels near Port Canaveral.
Quick answer: Port Canaveral’s official parking is $20 per day plus tax, paid by card on arrival, with a garage at every terminal. For a park-and-cruise deal with a room, look at Radisson Resort at the Port (about 2 miles from the terminals) or the Courtyard Cocoa Beach Cape Canaveral if you want a beach night first.

Official Port Canaveral parking rates for 2026
According to the Canaveral Port Authority, parking at the cruise terminals costs $20.00 per day plus tax, and the same rate applies to cars and RVs; there is no separate oversize surcharge listed. The daily count includes both your embarkation day and your return day, so a 7-night cruise is billed as 8 days (about $160 before tax). The rate rose from $17 to $20 on October 1, 2025.
- Payment: pay on arrival at the lot entrance. No cash – American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover only.
- Reservations: the port does not take parking reservations and says there is plenty of space at every terminal.
- Accessible parking: the fee is waived for vehicles with qualifying equipment or permits, such as a Florida Toll Exemption Permit or a Florida Disabled Veteran license plate.
Garages by terminal
Every terminal has its own garage plus surface lots, so park at the one printed on your boarding documents. From State Road 528, take Exit 54A for the North Side terminals (5, 6, 8 and 10 on Charles Rowland Dr.) and Exit 54B for the South Side terminals (1, 2 and 3 on Discovery Rd. and Christopher Columbus Dr.). Terminal assignments change with ship deployments, but as a guide: Terminal 1 handles Royal Caribbean’s biggest ships and Celebrity, Terminal 3 is Carnival’s home (Mardi Gras and others), Terminal 8 is Disney, Terminal 10 serves MSC and some Disney ships, and Terminals 5 and 6 host Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Princess. Always confirm with your cruise line.

Getting there, shuttles & parking
- Driving: SR 528 (the Beachline) runs straight to the port; use Exit 54A or 54B depending on your terminal.
- Go Port shuttles: departures to the ship run 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and return pickups start at 7:00 AM on debarkation day. Its lot is at 3345 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island.
- Cruisetime Parking: 1700 Sea Ray Dr., Merritt Island, with round-trip shuttle included; the last shuttle to the port leaves at 2 PM.
- Hotel shuttles: most need booking 24-48 hours ahead and limit the number of riders per room, so confirm before you go.
Tips for cruise parking at Port Canaveral
- Count both the departure and return day when budgeting for port parking.
- Bring a credit card – the port garages do not take cash.
- Off-site lots save the most on longer cruises; on a 3-night cruise the port garage is often worth the convenience.
- Book park-and-cruise hotels with free cancellation in case your sailing changes.
- Drop luggage and passengers at the terminal curb before parking to save a walk.
Port Canaveral Cruise Parking: Lots, Rates and Getting There
Port Canaveral keeps its cruise parking simple. According to the Port Canaveral website, parking is $20.00 per day plus tax for vehicles and RVs, and the charge includes both the day of arrival and the day of departure. The port states that plenty of parking is available at every cruise terminal and that oversized spaces are provided for RVs and buses.
Payment works on a pay-on-arrival basis. The port says no cash is accepted and lists American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover as accepted cards. Importantly, the port states it does not take parking reservations, so there is nothing to book in advance through the port itself. Parking opens at 10 AM for embarkation, and debarking passengers can access their vehicles at any time. For refunds, the port gives the number 321-783-7831, answered Monday to Friday.
Because parking facilities are adjacent to each cruise terminal, the port notes that no shuttles are required to reach your ship from the lot. The port also states that disabled parking is available, with the fee waived for vehicles with special equipment, Florida Toll Exemption Permits, or DV license plates.
The terminals are split into two groups with different exits. According to the port, the A terminals in the north use Exit 54A: Terminal 5 at 9245 Charles Rowland Dr., Terminal 6 at 9241 Charles Rowland Dr., Terminal 8 at 9155 Charles Rowland Dr., and Terminal 10 at 9005 Charles Rowland Dr. The B terminals in the south use Exit 54B: Terminal 1 at 9500 Discovery Rd., Terminal 2 at 180 Christopher Columbus Dr., and Terminal 3 at 220 Christopher Columbus Dr. Check your cruise documents for your terminal number before you leave the highway.
For travellers flying into Orlando, the Port Canaveral directions page says Orlando International Airport (MCO) is approximately 45 minutes west of the port. The recommended route is S.R. 528 East, a toll road, which leads directly to the port, where you take Exit 54A or 54B depending on your terminal. The port lists two other airports as well: Orlando Melbourne International Airport is approximately 25 miles (40 minutes) south, and Orlando Sanford International Airport is approximately 1 hour northwest.
Because the port page does not list an official shuttle between the airport and the terminals, most Orlando arrivals use a cruise line transfer, rental car or other transport arranged separately. Rates, hours and rules can change, so confirm everything on the official Port Canaveral website before your sailing date.

How we checked this guide
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page is when we last reviewed it end to end.
- Parking rates, shuttle fees and transport times are taken from the port’s, venue’s or operator’s own published pages and from each hotel’s own website — not from aggregator sites.
- Distances and journey times are the figures the venue or transit operator publishes, not our estimates. Where we give a distance, we say what it is measured to.
- Hotel amenities (breakfast, shuttle hours, pet and parking policies) come from each hotel’s own site. These change more often than anything else here, so confirm them when you book.
- Room rates are deliberately not listed anywhere on this site. They move daily, and a price written one month is wrong the next. Our links take you to live pricing instead.
- We have not stayed at every hotel we write about. Where we contacted a property directly, the guide says so and gives the date. Where a figure comes from a third-party report rather than an official source, we say that too.
