Quick answer: Official port garages cost $25 per day (Garages C, D, F, G and Lot E) to $35 per day (Garages AA and B) for long-term cruise parking. To save, look at a park-and-cruise hotel like Embassy Suites Miami International Airport or Hampton Inn & Suites Miami/Brickell-Downtown, both of which list a Park, Stay & Go offer.

Official PortMiami garages: rates & locations

According to PortMiami’s official parking page, each terminal has its own garage or lot, so check your cruise documents for your terminal before you drive in:

  • Terminal AA: Garage AA – $35 per day long-term, $20 per day short-term (no overnight). Clearance is 7’0″.
  • Terminal A (Royal Caribbean): Garage A – rates and advance reservations online at royalmiamiparking.com. Clearance is listed as 7’2″.
  • Terminal B (Norwegian): Garage B – $35 per vehicle, per space, per day (effective January 1, 2025). Reservations through ParkWhiz/NCL.
  • Terminals F, G and V: Garage G. Garage G and the other north-side Garages C, D and F charge $25 per day long-term and $10 per day short-term.
  • Terminal E: Surface Lot E – $25 per day, including designated spaces for oversized vehicles.
  • Terminal J (south side): Garages J and K. Check the official page for current rates.

Payment: PortMiami accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and major U.S. traveler’s checks. Garages are staffed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on cruise days, and a free port shuttle runs only on cruise days.

Park-and-cruise hotels

  • Embassy Suites Miami International Airport – the hotel’s official offers page lists a Park, Stay & Go package with parking plus shuttle service to select airports and cruise ports. Suites with separate living areas make it a good fit for families flying or driving in the day before.
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Miami/Brickell-Downtown – also lists Park, Stay & Go on its official offers page, and it is in Brickell, a short drive from the port. Ask how many parking nights are included and how the port transfer works before you book.
  • Miccosukee Casino & Resort – its official Park & Cruise package (from $189 for two) includes a one-night stay, breakfast for two, complimentary parking and a shuttle to the Port of Miami. It is on the western edge of Miami-Dade, so it suits drivers arriving from the west.

Hotels with port shuttles or downtown parking

  • Regency Miami Airport by Sonesta – its Stay & Sail package includes a free cruise port shuttle (reserve with the front desk; $15 per extra person). Self-parking costs $20 plus tax per night, but the hotel does not say whether you can leave your car during the cruise, so ask first.
  • Hilton Miami Downtown – offers a Park & Stay rate with parking included for each night you stay. It is close to the port for a pre-cruise night, but you will still need port or off-site parking for the cruise itself.

Getting there, shuttles & parking

  • Off-site garages: Premier Cruise Parking (250 SE 3rd Avenue, about 1.7 miles from the port) runs a free shuttle every 30 minutes, with embarkation shuttles from 11 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. It is cash only and allows a maximum of four passengers per car. Safe Cruise Parking (189 NE 2nd Street, about 2 miles away) runs a free shuttle every 15–30 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a $10 round-trip charge for each passenger beyond four.
  • Drop-off first: If you are traveling with a group, drop passengers and bags at the terminal before parking off-site, since off-site shuttles may limit passenger numbers.
  • Oversized vehicles: Only Surface Lot E has designated spaces for vans, RVs and trailers. Garage clearances can be around 7 feet.

Tips for PortMiami cruise parking

  • Find your terminal before you drive in, as each garage serves specific terminals.
  • Port garages charge per day or fraction of a day, so count every calendar day your car is parked when you budget.
  • Royal Caribbean and Norwegian guests can reserve Garage A or Garage B parking in advance.
  • Check the height of your vehicle. Garage AA’s clearance is 7’0″.
  • Hotel packages change often, so confirm the number of parking nights and the port transfer details directly with the hotel.

PortMiami Cruise Parking and Access: Garages, Terminals and Transit

PortMiami has parking tied to each cruise terminal on both its north and south sides. According to the Miami-Dade County parking page for the port, Terminal AA uses Garage AA at 2200 N Cruise Blvd, Terminal A uses Garage A at 2000 N Cruise Blvd, Terminal B uses Garage B at 1756 N Cruise Blvd, and Terminal C uses Garage C at 1648 N Cruise Blvd. Terminal D uses Garage D and Surface Lot D at 1400 Cruise Blvd, Terminal E uses Surface Lot E at 625 Florida Way, and Terminals F, G and V use Garage G at 921 N America Way. On the south side, Terminal J uses Garages J and K at 1122 and 1124 Caribbean Way.

The county lists daily rates by garage. Garage AA is $20 short-term and $35 long-term. Garage B, used for NCL, is listed at $35 long-term as of January 1, 2025. Garages C, D, F, G and Surface Lot E are $10 short-term and $25 long-term, and oversized spaces at Surface Lot E are $25 per space. Payment is accepted by cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or major U.S. traveler’s checks. Staffing runs 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on cruise days, and for non-cruise days the county directs you to PortMiami Cruise Operations at 305-347-4800.

The same page states that free shuttle service is available only on cruise days, that all facilities are patrolled by security, and that every garage has disabled permit spaces with two hours complimentary. Disabled veterans with Florida plates receive free parking. Clearance ranges from a minimum first-floor height of 7 feet 0 inches at Garage AA to a maximum of 9 feet 6 inches at Garage G, which matters for tall vans and roof boxes.

The county’s directions page gives each terminal’s address: Terminal AA at 2200 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal A at 2000 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal B at 1761 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal C at 1741/1751 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal D at 1435 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal E at 1265 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal F at 1103 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal G at 909 N. Cruise Blvd., Terminal V at 718 W. Cruise Blvd., and Terminal J at 1120 Caribbean Way. It also describes a dedicated, toll-free port tunnel connecting PortMiami to I-395 and the MacArthur Causeway, open to all cruise and cargo traffic.

For transit, the county says to take Metrorail’s Orange Line from Miami International Airport, or the Green Line from southern Miami-Dade, to Government Center Station. From there, take Metromover to Freedom Tower Station, then the free City of Miami Coral Way Trolley across the PortMiami Bridge. The county adds that most cruise lines offer shuttle service from the airport, that taxis are available at all cruise terminals on cruise days, that all major rideshare services serve embarkation and debarkation, and that the Brightline station offers a Vacation Service for cruise passengers. Rates and rules can change, so confirm them on the official PortMiami pages before you travel.

How we checked this guide

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page is when we last reviewed it end to end.

  • Parking rates, shuttle fees and transport times are taken from the port’s, venue’s or operator’s own published pages and from each hotel’s own website — not from aggregator sites.
  • Distances and journey times are the figures the venue or transit operator publishes, not our estimates. Where we give a distance, we say what it is measured to.
  • Hotel amenities (breakfast, shuttle hours, pet and parking policies) come from each hotel’s own site. These change more often than anything else here, so confirm them when you book.
  • Room rates are deliberately not listed anywhere on this site. They move daily, and a price written one month is wrong the next. Our links take you to live pricing instead.
  • We have not stayed at every hotel we write about. Where we contacted a property directly, the guide says so and gives the date. Where a figure comes from a third-party report rather than an official source, we say that too.
