New Orleans cruise parking is run by the Port of New Orleans in two garages, one at each terminal. This guide lists the rates the Port publishes, which garage matches your cruise line, and the limits to check before you drive in. If you want a hotel the night before, see our guide to hotels near the New Orleans cruise port.
Quick answer: The Port lists $120 for 4 days, $135 for 5 days and $180 for 7 days at both garages without a reservation, with a $1 per day convenience fee if you prepay online. Carnival uses the Erato Street garage, and Norwegian and Royal Caribbean use the 100 Poydras garage. Rates can change, so confirm on the Port site before you travel.

Which garage should you use?
Erato Street Terminal (Carnival): the Erato Street Parking Garage has over 1,000 covered and secured spaces and opens at 9:00am. Height limits are 8 ft 4 in on the limited third floor and 7 ft 6 in on higher floors.
Julia Street Terminal (Norwegian and Royal Caribbean): the 100 Poydras Garage has over 500 covered and secured spaces, opens at 9:00am and has a lower height limit of about 6 ft 6 in. A shuttle carries passengers and luggage to the terminal.
Rules to check before you go
Maximum vehicle length is 22 feet at both garages, and the Port no longer accommodates RVs, buses or other oversized vehicles. Payment is by credit or debit card. The Hilton Whale Lot and overflow parking are no longer available, and space is limited, so the Port and the city tourism board recommend reserving online.
Staying the night before
If your ship sails in the morning, a downtown or Warehouse District hotel puts you a short ride from either terminal. Options to compare include the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District and the Hyatt Place New Orleans Convention Center. Hotel parking and shuttle terms differ, so confirm before booking.

How we checked this guide
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page is when we last reviewed it end to end.
- Parking rates, shuttle fees and transport times are taken from the port’s, venue’s or operator’s own published pages and from each hotel’s own website โ not from aggregator sites.
- Distances and journey times are the figures the venue or transit operator publishes, not our estimates. Where we give a distance, we say what it is measured to.
- Hotel amenities (breakfast, shuttle hours, pet and parking policies) come from each hotel’s own site. These change more often than anything else here, so confirm them when you book.
- Room rates are deliberately not listed anywhere on this site. They move daily, and a price written one month is wrong the next. Our links take you to live pricing instead.
- We have not stayed at every hotel we write about. Where we contacted a property directly, the guide says so and gives the date. Where a figure comes from a third-party report rather than an official source, we say that too.
