Where to Stay for Eurovision 2027 in Burgas: Best Areas & Hotels

Last updated: October 17, 2026 · By Ronen, Stay Near The Venue

Eurovision comes to Bulgaria for the first time in May 2027. Burgas, a Black Sea city of seaside parks and beaches, will host all three live shows at Arena Burgas. The arena sits in the residential Izgrev/Slaveykov area, roughly 4 km northwest of the Sea Garden, so where you book decides whether you walk to the shows or take a taxi.

Quick answer: Stay in Izgrev near Arena Burgas (Hotel Avenue, Hotel Mirage) if you have show tickets and want to walk. Pick Burgas centre or the Sea Garden (Hotel Bulgaria, Primoretz Grand Hotel & Spa) for the fan events and nightlife. Sarafovo suits early flights, and Pomorie, Sunny Beach and Nessebar give you resort hotels if you don’t mind a 30–50 minute ride.

Eurovision 2027 dates

The EBU and host broadcaster BNT announced Burgas as host city on 13 August 2026. The live shows are:

  • Semi-Final 1: Tuesday 11 May 2027
  • Semi-Final 2: Thursday 13 May 2027
  • Grand Final: Saturday 15 May 2027

The EBU also lists six preview (rehearsal) shows between Monday 10 May and Saturday 15 May. To buy tickets you have to sign up to Eurofan, the free official fan club, before sales open. Shows start at 21:00 CEST, which is 22:00 local time in Bulgaria. That means late finishes, so a hotel you can walk back to is worth paying for. Wikipedia reports a Eurovision Village running from 13 April to 31 May 2027, with fan events in central Burgas and the Sea Garden. Hotels already have waiting lists, so book a free-cancellation room now.

Best value near the airport and for families

  • Sea Horse – A small three-star hotel in Sarafovo, about a 10-minute walk from Burgas Airport and roughly 500 m from the beach. Some units are self-catering. Handy for early-morning flights home after the final.
  • Atlantis Resort & Spa – A large Sarafovo resort with 380 rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and free parking, a few minutes’ drive from the airport. Families and groups get space and pools here, with the arena about 15 minutes away by car.

  • To the arena: Arena Burgas is at 79 Stefan Stambolov Boulevard in Izgrev. The nearest stop is Transportna, and city buses link the area with the centre. Taxis and Bolt work well, but expect queues after the final.

Ronen researches and writes every guide on Stay Near The Venue. Parking rates, shuttle fees and transfer times come from the port’s, venue’s or operator’s own published pages and from each hotel’s own site, with the date we checked recorded on the page.
