DreamVille camping

DreamVille is Tomorrowland’s official on-site camping area, with everything from basic tents to furnished lodges and its own stages. It sells out fast and is sold as part of festival packages.

Getting to the festival

  • Train: Belgian rail (SNCB) sells a discounted event round-trip ticket. Trains from Antwerp take about 30 minutes. Buy tickets before boarding; they are no longer sold on the train.
  • Official shuttles: run from Brussels and Antwerp and keep running late into the night.
  • Late returns: the last regular trains and buses can leave before the music ends, so plan your way back in advance.

Tips

  • Book a hotel close to the train station or shuttle stop in your chosen city.
  • For a weekend with the late sets, the shuttle is usually the more reliable way back.
  • Hotels in Antwerp and Boom fill up months ahead. Book as soon as you have your tickets.

Tomorrowland dates and location

Tomorrowland takes place at De Schorre park in Boom, about 16 km south of Antwerp and 32 km north of Brussels. The 2026 festival ran over two weekends, July 17 to 19 and July 24 to 26. Dates for 2027 have been reported as starting July 16 to 18 but were still unconfirmed at the time of writing, so check the official Tomorrowland site.

Shuttles and trains to Boom

For 2026, Belgium’s public transport operator De Lijn ran free shuttle buses between Boom station and DreamVille, between parking P9 and the Kiss and Ride area, and from Mechelen on line 50. The shuttles make no intermediate stops and take about 20 minutes. Several De Lijn bus lines are diverted during the festival, so check the operator’s notice. Trains from Antwerp Central to Boom run roughly every 30 minutes and take about half an hour, while trains from Brussels take one to one and a half hours, usually changing at Mechelen. Late trains after midnight can be unreliable, so plan your return in advance.

Where to base yourself

Antwerp is a popular base, about 30 minutes by train, and hotels near Antwerp Central Station have the best transport access. Mechelen is often cheaper and around 20 minutes from both Antwerp and Brussels, Brussels has more hotels overall, and Boom itself has very limited rooms that sell out within days of ticket sales. DreamVille is the official campsite, and one guide notes that hotel guests cannot enter it. Both 2026 weekends sold out, so book your accommodation as soon as you have tickets.

Choosing between Antwerp, Brussels and Mechelen by priority

Tomorrowland is held in Boom, which is a small town rather than a hotel district, so most visitors stay in a nearby city and travel in each day. The three bases people most often compare are Antwerp, Brussels and Mechelen, and the right one depends on what you value. Antwerp offers a compact city center with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shopping, and suits those who want a lively evening scene. Brussels has the widest choice of hotels and the strongest transport links, which helps if you are flying in or connecting from elsewhere in Europe. Mechelen is smaller and quieter, and may appeal to those who want a calm place to sleep.

Think about the return journey as much as the outward one. After a long night you will want a base that is straightforward to reach, with an easy walk from the station to the hotel.

Booking when demand is at its peak

The festival draws visitors from many countries, and hotels in the surrounding cities fill up well ahead of the July dates. Reserve early, and prefer a rate that can be canceled for free so that you can adjust if your ticket situation or travel plans change. Check the cancellation deadline carefully, including the time zone, since a rate that is refundable until a certain day can become fixed overnight.

When comparing prices, include city tax and any breakfast or parking charges. A slightly higher nightly rate with breakfast included can work out better than a cheaper room where every extra costs more.

Deciding between a hotel and the camping option

Visitors with a festival camping package should still think about the nights before and after. Many people book a hotel for the arrival night, to rest properly before the weekend, and another for the night after it ends, so they can shower, sleep in a real bed and travel home without the fatigue of a campsite exit. Others skip camping altogether and treat a city hotel as their home base.

Ask yourself how well you sleep outdoors, how you feel about shared facilities and how tired you will be on the last day. There is no single correct answer, but being honest about these points will save you from a miserable weekend.

Arrival and departure day planning

If you are flying in, give yourself time between landing and the first event day. Delays happen, and trying to reach the festival grounds directly from the airport is stressful. Arrive the day before, check in, and have a quiet evening. When your room is not ready, ask the hotel to store your luggage.

On the way out, bear in mind that many other visitors will leave on the same trains and roads at the same time. Do not schedule a tight connection on the Monday morning, and confirm your check-out time in advance.

Practical questions to ask before you book

Ask the hotel about luggage storage, early check-in, late check-out and breakfast hours, because festival schedules rarely match normal ones. If you are traveling with friends, ask about the maximum occupancy of the room and the policy on extra beds. Guests who need step-free access should ask about elevators, door widths and the bathroom layout, and request written confirmation.

Look also at how far the hotel is from the station you plan to use, and whether the route is lit and straightforward at night. A short and simple walk is worth more than a large room.

Travel documents, money and what to arrange in advance

Make sure your passport or identity card is valid for the trip, check any entry requirements for Belgium, and keep digital and paper copies of your tickets and hotel confirmations. Carry a payment card that works abroad as well as a small amount of cash, and tell your bank you will be traveling. Check the festival’s official information for entry rules, and arrange your transport home before you leave, so that the final night is a celebration rather than a puzzle.

Common mistakes to avoid on a Tomorrowland trip

The mistakes that cause the most stress are usually logistical. Visitors book a hotel without checking how far it is from the station, assume they will find a late-night ride home without planning, or forget that a long weekend of dancing leaves little energy for admin. Others choose a cheap, non-refundable room and then discover that their plans have changed.

Avoid these problems by choosing a base with a clear route to the festival, booking a flexible rate, and writing down your return plan before the final night. Keep your phone charged, save the hotel address offline, and agree on a meeting point with your group. Small habits like these make the whole trip smoother.

How we checked this guide

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page is when we last reviewed it end to end.

  • Parking rates, shuttle fees and transport times are taken from the port’s, venue’s or operator’s own published pages and from each hotel’s own website — not from aggregator sites.
  • Distances and journey times are the figures the venue or transit operator publishes, not our estimates. Where we give a distance, we say what it is measured to.
  • Hotel amenities (breakfast, shuttle hours, pet and parking policies) come from each hotel’s own site. These change more often than anything else here, so confirm them when you book.
  • Room rates are deliberately not listed anywhere on this site. They move daily, and a price written one month is wrong the next. Our links take you to live pricing instead.
  • We have not stayed at every hotel we write about. Where we contacted a property directly, the guide says so and gives the date. Where a figure comes from a third-party report rather than an official source, we say that too.
